Notes of Appreciation

South Central Power Company out of Lancaster, Ohio contracted Elliot crews out of Dayton for an ice storm from January 28th to February 2nd. The Elliot crew I had was Toby Suerdieck’s crew. These men did an outstanding job for our consumers. They would take on any task, work thru the day without eating, and work safely. Please relay our appreciation to their supervisor from South Central Power.

Richard Blackstone, South Central Power

THANK YOU!!! TO the crews you have working KY now. We are in Bourbon/Harrison County KY and have seen your folks working all over this area! We really appreciate that they came to our state and are helping us get the light and the heat back on. So a round of applause and a well deserved rest. We are grateful.

I live in Cadiz, KY....and I am back in my home with electricity after being away for 6 days. The day I came home and saw the lights on was the same day I saw the Elliot trucks. The men had worked diligently to get our electricity running after the ice storm. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart! My husband is disabled and it was hard for him to be away from home. I know people expect alot when things like this happen, and the men and women that work away from their families do not always get the pat on the back they deserve. I could not go without saying "Thank You.” I saw the logo on the truck and google searched it... I won't ever forget that logo and those who helped get my family and myself back home. So to all of those who came to our rescue... Job well done, and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!

Please extend my thanks to your crews for their efforts in assisting the West Virginia section of APCO. For many, if not all, this was their second trip in three weeks to the area for major storm restoration. The crew did great work, and best of all, no one was injured. Thanks!

Letter to Advocate-Messenger in Danville, KY... Thanks for power!
Dear Editor,
I would like to thank the Elliot Electric for being so prompt after 15 days that my brother and his disabled wife were able to get their electric back on. After my brother tracked someone down that could help, they were so nice to do this hookup at 9:30 p.m. We appreciate them. God Bless you all! You are doing a great job.

Brenda, Danville, KY

Due to the recent ice storm, we have been without power for 13 days. Your workers were in our area today, and despite numerous challenges (broken poles, debris, etc), the crews worked until well after dark, including coming to our residence at 8:40 PM to connect the wires to our new masthead. We live in Lancaster, and I would like you to let the guys know, who got our service working tonight, how much we appreciate everything they did. What an awesome group of workers!!

Most definitely! I cannot imagine how tired those guys must have been, but they did not give up and go home until our power was restored and for that we are VERY grateful. It would have been easier for them to just wait until daylight the next day (and I would not have blamed them), but they had a mission and did what needed to be done. It is rare to find such committed employees these days, well done!
